Mr. Diego García-Sayán
President, Inter American Human Rights Court
San José, Costa Rica
While 22 universities in the Americas, meeting in Mexico, commit to combat impunity, the international community
which signs this letter is contacting you to request that the international juridical body over which you preside be good enough to call upon the government of the Dominican Republic to resolve the case of journalist Narciso González, known as Narcisazo, who has been missing since 1994.
The Inter-American Human Rights Court will send a forceful message on behalf of the work of the press in ordering the Dominican government not to allow this crime, which has shocked public opinion, by bringing the masterminds and perpetrators to justice.
